Sigma Alpha Iota, Moscow-Pullman Alumnae Chapter
School Instrument Award
The mission of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity (SAI) is to encourage, nurture and support the art of music. The Moscow-Pullman Alumnae Chapter, formed in 1961, is comprised of S.A.I. members active in the local arts communities. In an effort to fulfill the mission of SAI, the Moscow-Pullman Alumnae chapter has acquired used musical instruments (which may or may not need further repair) in the effort to provide local music educators and their students with instruments needed for their programs.
A teacher or school district may apply for acquisition of one or more of these used instruments by filling out the following School Instrument Award Application. The award will be presented at our annual Spring Musicale held at the Lionel Hampton School of Music Haddock Performance Hall at 3:00 p.m. Applications will be considered on an availability basis.
Instruments will be awarded to a local school music education program that meets the following criteria:
· Explain which instrument(s) are needed for your school’s music program.
· Describe the system used at your school for instrument check-out procedures and instrument inventory.
· Describe how your school/district has planned to fund the maintenance of the instrument(s) which are requested
